January 22-30, 2022

It’s still weird to write 2022 how is it that year already? Ally is turning 16 this year how crazy is that?

It was back to school in person for Ally and we are trying to fight the January blues and get into a winter groove. It’s a battle.

And Ally was really tired all week. She only made it to basketball practice 1 day. She was too tired to go.

We did a family fun time trip to Petco. New toys and a sweatshirt for Cloey, greenies for both cat and dog and a new bed for them to share.

Cloey looks adorable in her new hoodie.

Down time. Cloey has totally learned that Ally relaxes on the couch on the 3rd floor and goes up there a lot now to lay on her lap.

First day back at school!!!

Ally has been on a Rice Krispies kick lately. She eats 3-4 bowls a day. Rice Krispies are really hard to find due to a strike at the Kellogg factory where they are made. I like to support union workers when I can. But when your picky eater wants the Krispies you buy them. I bought 10 boxes at the 1 store that had some.

We did a quick puzzle one afternoon while waiting for a Telehealth appointment after school.

Ally finally tried out her Beachwaver curling iron. She uses it all the time now.

Breakfast in bed.

PS5 with mama.

While Daisy relaxes in the “dog” bed.

Hot cocoa during the Saturday blizzard.

So much snow.

So happy not to go outside in the snow.

Sunday Ally did her homework in her room.

January 10-21, 2022

Remote school is not fun. COVID is running rampant with the OMICRON variant. We are still doing puzzles, playing PS5, and very thankful for our pets.
And that it was Wildcard Weekend in NFL football.

Monday, Ally was back at her desk for remote school.

She was not thrilled about it or me taking pictures.

After school she got to open a Fab Fit Fun box.

Tuesday morning before school.

Hot cocoa in her Cloey mug during morning break.

But after lunch it all became a little too hard. Ally asked for help from me, emailed her teacher and and took a break. Cloey immediately curled up with her for an afternoon nap.

After her nap Ally was in a much better place and we finished our puzzle.

So much love from Daisy.

Wednesday Ally went to Tommy’s house to do remote school there.

She asked me to bring Cloey when I picked her up so Cloey could meet Tiger (Tommy’s dog).

Thursday. Morning snack of cocoa and a muffin.

Afternoon class on the couch with Cloey.

Friday we left the house after school so the cleaners could come for the first time in a month.

Then later it was lots of PS5 time.

I’m starting to feel left out. I don’t have a pet that snuggles with me.

Saturday morning was very cold. Becky was not happy to take Cloey outside.

But she was happy to warm up with coffee and a donut.

Saturday night we watched the Patriots vs Bills.
Patriots lost. But it was some good family time.

Sunday and Monday more football, more PS5

Trying to stay warm.

Mornings breakfast in bed with the pets.

And before you know it today is Thursday and we’ve almost made it thru these two weeks.

Friday Tommy came over for after noon class and stayed for dinner. I found Ally in her room later hanging out in a good mood;

It’s such a relief to be done with remote school. We are all so glad it’s back to classes and basketball next week.

She did great the past two weeks and I am so proud of her.

January 3-9, 2022

It was quite a week. Ally and Becky were back at school, but Omicron and the high positive rate closed Ally’s school for 2 days and we had the first snow storm of the year which meant snow day for Becky on Friday. But the best news of all is that Ally got her COVID booster.

Getting her shot! Yay for vaccines

Selfie with my blue light glasses on/

Friday was a snow day

Daisy still waits outside the bathroom when Ally is in there.

Ally and I started a new puzzle and she opened a Christmas gift.
Becky and I did some projects around the house and watched football. Pretty quiet weekend.
