Life

Life is busy. 4-5 appointments a week plus gymnastics, ballet, church and play dates makes for busy times. Becky is also taking a graduate class, and things are crazy busy at my company. But we are dealing. And living and finding joy and happiness.

Fun even during the 5th at home lice comb out.

Joy in sticking post it notes to Becky's glasses while she falls asleep on the couch with Cloey on her head, and Ally is still awak after 9pm because she can't get to sleep.

The thrill of having the final comb out done by a professional and being told they(we) are done with our lice treatment!

They put on a movie and serve you ice cream. Becky was really good for the pro.

Progress in increased function for Ally's ankle. Here she is balancing on her left good foot and scooters get with her right hurt foot. It's her reward at PT when she works hard and meets goals. She gets to scooter around the entire hospital wing.

Her function is improving. But the pain remains the same, and she is getting discouraged about that. But all the therapists and we her parents keep reminding her that she is making progress, and focus on that. She danced thru ballet class yesterday, without a break. Beautiful and graceful as ever with a huge smile on her face and lots of giggles. She is learning the dance for her June recital. After class she could barely walk, but she did it! And she is starting to get that the pain is sticking around and she has to work through it if she wants to get back into her old activities, and if she wants the pain to go away, she has to continue.

Saturday morning hamster cuddles. Thanks Great Aunt Martha for the cool shirt and tuxedo stripe leggings,

After ballet we went to Roxie's house for a play date. We let the girls play Minecraft together for a few minutes at the end.

Ally and I had a disagreement in the car on the way home, in an effort to change the dynamic and our mood I suggested we bake. We decided to try a new recipe for Snickerdoodles. They were delicious and we had fun together as a family making them.

Pug snuggles in the morning watching TV

I call this picture "United in Curiosity" That is Penguin the hamster in her hamster ball and Cloey and Carl staring at her quizzically and she rolls around the house.

After church Alice came over for a play date. These two sure know how to ham it up for my camera. I guess that is years of practice.

Then before dinner while I took a break, Becky gave Ally sewing lessons.

Busy, full, blessed, happy, stressful, fun. It's life.
