Social Weekend

It was an unusually social weekend for us. Friday night after practice Becky took Ally to a Holiday party at her friend Olive's house.

Ally isn't actually in the picture but that's her friend and some little sisters playing outside before Ally arrived. Olive is a serious hockey player so of course they were playing a makeshift game. That's Maya, Lauren, Daniela, Ellie, Alma, Camilla and Olive. Not pictured are Sonja and Ilsa little sisters to  Maya and Alma.

Then on Saturday afternoon we hosted a gingerbread house decorating party. Ally's friend Colette was visiting from Costa Rica so it was a Coke see Colette and gingerbread party.

Ally finished her book "The Lions of Littlerock" while waiting for friends to arrive. She curled up with Cloey.

So excited for the fun!

Becky pre-assembled all 7 gingerbread houses and Ally and I put out the candy.

Colette, Willow, Catalina and Nina (Daniela's sister).

These girls are such good friends. Willow, Camilla, Alma, Ally, Colette, Catalina and Daniela sitting across them!

Then on Sunday morning we went to a Holiday brunch and the same girls were there.

Colette, Cata, Ally & Willow staying warm in the sun.

Same 4 as above but with Daniela and her sisters Nina and Elena.

After brunch Ally, Becky and I went to see a local performance of The Nutcracker. Ally's friend and classmate Else was performing as one of the party girls. Her mom sat with us, and hot us upgraded seats! And then Else came and watched the 2nd act with us. It was really lovely and fun to support a dedicated classmate in her pursuit.

Today Ally received an early Christmas present from her cousins. It's a wireless speaker. She LOVES it.

Phew. It's a good thing there is only 1 week until Christmas. Ally and Becky are fighting colds and we are all pretty tired. But it was a fun weekend and it's only 5 days until Holiday break.
