11 Year Check Up

Today Ally finally had her 11 year physical. She was super nervous about the 4 shots she needed. 3 of the 4 were painless but the 4th was painful. She held it together and shed some tears afterwards. I was super proud of her.
Then I took her to get frozen yogurt and she is settled on the couch now eating it with Cloey. She asked why shots have to hurt. “Why can’t they tickle?” She said.

Friday Ally missed school for a gymnastics meet.

I bought a couple of pictures at the meet. It’s amazing how high off the beam Ally jumps!

Her super straight handstand! I love seeing her teammates watch her.

And the amazing toe point and elegant body position!

Posing with teammates after their competition.
Ally didn’t score as high as she usually did but she managed to bring home a giant 1st place trophy!

With her coach Kristin!

Just loved this one of her!

Before School on Thursday. She looks so grown up lately. Her new sneakers, we found them in NYC.

at her physical today we learned Ally is staying strong in the 15th percentile for height and weight.
She is 76 pounds and 56” tall.
Perfect specimen of good health.

But. Tomorrow she is going to see an orthopedist at Children’s hospital because she has been having knee pain after practice and ballet class. Her pediatrician said it’s time to see a specialist so off we go to a pediatric sports medicine orthopedist.  We are all hoping her knee pain is just something related to growth and development and not something more serious. But we will know more tomorrow.
