Vacation week cont'd

Since Grandma Barbie was in the hospital we decided to drive over to see her. It was pretty last minute decision and we didn't tell my parents we were going. But we did it.

After we made sheep cupcakes for my Sunday school class

I was supposed to lead a lesson on The Lost Sheep parable, which tied into our previous lesson on The Prodigal Son. In both parables there is a celebration at the end, so I prepped the cupcakes with help from Becky and the class decorated them.

We missed church to drive home but I heard they were a big hit.

Ally and Becky and Cloey did not go in to the hospital to see Grandma Barbie. They got Cloey a car seat, and had a picnic lunch at the park.

Ally and I made signs to hang in mom's hospital room. And I took a picture of Grandma to show Ally that she was really alright.

Hilariously Barb calls her bruises her "hospital tan".

Cloey stretch out of her car seat to watch the IPad with Ally on the way back to our house. We only stayed one night but we were all glad we went.

The rest of the week was filled up with gymnastics and doctors appointments and play dates.

The dermatologist sent us to see a different allergist to see if we can find the source of the rash. No luck with him. He was very nice. But he said it wasn't an allergy but that if his daughter had a rash like Ally's he would take her to the dermatologist we are working with. He did diagnose Ally with seasonal allergies and said she should take an OTC allergy pill for relief.

Becky took Ally to a physical therapist for her ankle. The PT said Ally's ankle seems fine, stop wearing the boot and try to return to normal activities. She said if the pain persists past 10 more days we should go back to the orthopedist for an MRI. It has been more than 10 days and Ally still complains of pain and won't run at gymnastics or at school for recess or gym. We plan to call her pediatrician on Monday for advice.  It doesn't hurt too bad because Ally is competing tomorrow in 3 events and gymnastics, the beam, floor and bars. No vault because she isn't running. Ballet practice went well today too. We are happy Ally is walking normally and not in constant pain.

One of Ally's play dates was at the museum of fine arts with Rosa.

These two have a lot of fun together.
