London 2018 Day 3

Today was another touristy adventure day in London.
We met our friends at the Sky Garden building. It’s a free indoor garden on the 35th floor of a building. It was really neat.

Ally and I on the bus. Upper deck of course. It was an adventure getting bus passes and finding the right bus but we made it on time. Mostly because Ally looked around and pointed out the Underground sign (Tube stop) when Becky and I were stressed and looking at maps and our phones. Smart kid, great travel partner Ally is.

Waiting in line to get in.

Riding up the elevator

To the 35th floor!

The inside of the garden.

View looking west at St Paul’s Cathedral

Friends! 10+ years now.

Ally. She was adorable up there snapping selfies and scenic shots with her iPhone camera.

The view looking down from the upper deck

You walk up those steps to the upper deck. It’s all enclosed inside like a greenhouse.

Childhood friends.

That is the London Shard behind Ally.

Outside there is a curved roof structure over you.

That is the HMS Belfast in the water to the left of the shard.

The Tower of London and Tower Bridge.
We visited those on our last trip.

Seriously she was smiling the whole hour we were up there!

Liem and his mom Hanh.

View looking west, after we left the sky Garden we walked across London Bridge, up along the Thames to the Milennium Bridge, across the Bridge to St Paul’s all of which you can see in this picture.

We missed dad Andrew today he was at work but we had a fun time with these friends.
