Pumpkin Carving Takes 2, 3 & 4

Pumpkin carving take 2:

We had Ally's friend Olive over after school one day and I bought them each a small pumpkin to carve. I thought it humorous that Ally made the exact same face on this one as she did her first one (take 1). But the big difference here was that Ally drew a spider web all around the top hole, and ears on this one.

Spider web at the top.

Saturday we did take 3. This time I insisted on a shape OTHER than circles.

So we got a triangle nose.

Becky carved this one - we have a system. Ally draws the face, then we scoop it out (and the face gets all messed up from the guts and holding and such). Then Ally re-draws the face and either Becky or I cut it out.

On Sunday (for take 4) we talked about something different. Ally decided to create a sad face. Here she is modeling the sad face.

Becky even carved out the tears.

All 4 jack o lanterns!

Lit up in the dark with my family as bookends!

They were a big hit on Halloween on our front porch while we handed out treats.
