Day 10 Bamboo Pole Fishing, Pui'Pu and more fun.

The resort has scheduled activities for children and families. So far Ally and Becky made a shell picture frame, and we have been fishing! This day is Tuesday, and our big adventure was going to Pui'Pu, a town on the south shore of Kauai about 20 minutes away. Uncle Phil and Aunt Suzie and to go listen to a sales pitch, and we had pool priveledges for the day. The beach here was fantastic for snorkeling. It was sunny and windy on the beach and we didn't get any pictures. Again, Ally and I quickly headed to the pool.

Fishing was super easy! We used Cheerios for bait and the fish practically jump on the book.

Aunt Suzie even caught one.

She was so proud.

I caught one too.

Family picture with the last fish of the day.

Frame making. I think they turned out pretty well.

At the pool at Poi'Pu

A piƱa colada for Becky and a virgin strawberry daiquiri for Ally. Poolside of course!

Ally had so much fun. She figured out that she could open her eyes underwater. The pools here are saline and don't hurt her eyes. She was so excited and proud of herself.

Walking to the car hand in hand with Aunt Suzie.

From the resort we drove to see the Spouting Horn landmark. It's a natural rock formation that spews water out like a geyser and whistles like a horn when the waves crash against it.

We had dinner at a great pasta place and made a grocery store run after dinner.

Becky was thrilled with her pineapple

Ally and Gruncle have a long standing, 3 years now joke about her stuffed monkey Coconut that Gruncle bought Ally in Flagstaff. Whenever we see him they taunt each other. This night Gruncle took Coconut and stuffed him up his shirt. Gruncle is pretty tall and Ally had to work hard to free her monkey.

All in good fun.

And the evening ended with some games of Sleeping Queens.
