Day 6 Good Bye Oahu, Hello Kauai

Yesterday morning we packed up our suitcases, realized we needed to buy a new bag to bring to Kauai and stopped and bought one on the way to the airport.
It was raining. The first rain we've seen the entire time we've been in Hawaii. The rain didn't stop so we never saw a rainbow. The short 40 minute flight to Kauai was easy. Becky was a hero and ran after the resort shuttle so we didn't have to wait.
The resort is beautiful. No rain here. The front desk took pity on us and let us use the pool area for a few hours until Uncle Phil and Suzie arrived to check in.

Ally was thrilled that pool has a slide and is great for kids. We settled in under an umbrella and she was soon in the water.

Soon she talked Becky into getting in and they took turns going down the slide.

Becky and Ally hung out at the pool for a while when Phil, Suzie and I went to the grocery store. Then we got our room and soon after headed out to eat dinner. Mexican of course! Gruncle and Suzie like this place and one of Ally's homework assignments from her Spanish teacher was to eat here and write a review. Srta. Luisa had eaten here a few years ago.

Ally ordered in Spanish, lemonade and taquitos.

We walked thru the adjacent resort and couldn't resist a picture in front of the koi pond.

Before bed we checked out the Activity center. It has board games, puzzles, Wii, fooseball, and hula hoops!

It was a fun first day in Kauai!
