Day 3 Hawaii, adventures with pets, paddle boarding and exploring the north shore.

One of ally's wish list items for Hawaii was paddle boarding. I did some research and found a place that allowed kids and was for beginners. They also let us add people at the last minute, which was good because Kimn and Jesse joined us.

Our morning before we even left the house was an adventure. Kimn has 3 cats, a dog and a bird. Everyday she lets the bird out of his cage for a while. This morning was his time.

There is Sheila the bird in our room.

The bird followed Ally into the bathroom. At one point Becky, Ally the bird and 1 cat were all in the bathroom together. There is never a dull moment for us.

Waiting for  the lesson to start.
Ally shared a board with our instructor. This was perfect for Ally. She even said tonight before bed that paddle boarding was a lot of fun.

I did fall off the board once, at the beginning. But after that I did great!

Becky spotted a big turtle. Later on I saw a baby one.

We did it!

After our 2 hour session we had lunch at a local sandwich shop and then headed to Morimotos which is the place to get shave ice on Oahu. There were so many flavors to choose from. Ally picked blueberry, watermelon and lemonade, it was delicious.

Kimn shared Jesse's. I shared Ally's and Becky had a small one all to herself.

Cousins!

We left town and headed north. We saw this turtle refuge and had to stop to get a close look at the green sea turtles.

The water was beautiful. In addition to the one on the beach there were 4 playing in the surf. It was amazing. They are an endangered species so people are not allowed to touch them and are supposed to stay 6-8' away.

One of our goals was to get coconut and pineapple at a local stand. Ally (and Jesse and I) were not fans of the coconut milk or the raw coconut.

But the pineapple. YUM

Super sweet.

The scenery was just amazing.

Another goal was to get Be my shrimp at a shrimp truck.

Mission accomplish and she had 2 other all help her eat this!

Another fabulous day.ł
