Easter card–behind the scenes

Ally’s friend Olive’s mom owns a children’s shop. That is where we had Ally’s Valentine picture taken, and I signed up for Easter pictures as soon as I heard there would be baby chicks.

Remember, Ally’s fascination with chicks goes way back to 2010 when she was 3 years old in her first year at preschool:

This time, I picked Ally and Olive up after school and brought them over to the store.

It was hilarious – the girls were squealing and holding and giggling and fawning all over these two chicks. They were very gentle with them, and of course, not freaked out at all. Eventually I thought we should give the chicks a break.

So we walked to get frozen yogurt.

These last 4 pictures are the formal shots the photographer took. Worth every penny for the enjoyment Ally got from playing with her very own chick with her friend for over an hour. At one point the chick kissed Ally!
