Ally’s beloved babysitter Lauren is back in Boston for several weeks while her tv show is on hiatus in Hawaii. Ally was so excited that Lauren, and her dog Pilot were coming home, that she immediately went to look for Pilot’s ball. Unfortunately we had thrown it away – he tore a whole in it and who knew when he would be back? Ally asked if we could go to the pet store and get him a new ball. I agreed.
So off the pet store we went after school one day.
Ally picked out some squeaky tennis balls. Later that night and for several days she worked on a card for Pilot and and card for Lauren.
Unbelievably cute.
They came over to visit for a while the day after Lauren flew in. Ally was so excited to see them, she set up her chair in the living room and declared “I’m going to sit here and watch the clock” until they come.
We had a lovely visit – all 4 of us teared up a bit.
Lauren has agreed to babysit a few days a week while she is back, and Ally could not be more thrilled. Becky and I feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful person like Lauren in our, and Ally’s life. It is such a gift, to us and Ally.
