Easter Prep

Note – that I am posting out of order. I’m trying to finally get caught up.

This year Easter fell during the first weekend of our school vacation week. This meant many of our friends would be away and not joining us. But we were still determined to have a fun celebration.

Cake pops were our dessert of choice this year. Chickees, Bunnies, Sheep and some covered in Easter sprinkles. Ally helped with the sprinkles. It was hilarious. You need to work quickly and coat the cake pops, which have just been dipped in melted chocolate with sprinkles. It was really bad when I knocked an entire container of sprinkles on the floor. It was a huge mess. Becky was such a good sport and cleaned it all up so that Ally and I could continue.

Ally got to eat one that “got away” it fell off the stick.

Eventually Ally was ready for some fresh air, so Becky took her to the park, where Ally proceeded to lie around and relax.

When they got home it was time for egg dyeing!

We tried a new kit with glitter this year – it was not that good. But we had fun any way.

After dinner Becky turned the white and yellow coated cake pops into chicks and bunnies.
