Early February 2023

Life.

Some clothes Ally bought with Christmas gift cards!

Becky’s gift to Beth was an online cooking class. They learned to make Ramen noodles.

And of course drank Saki.

Frequent scene in our house this winter.

Ally and I worked on a puzzle.

Daisy interrupted us.

Saying goodbye to our bathroom. Renovations started.

Saying goodbye to Cloey before school is always hard.

But waking up with Daisy is delightful.

walking to class on a very cold day

Homework. That’s a cat toy attached to her monitor.

Hard to do homework with Daisy sitting on your work.

Why is Becky so scared?

It was minus 8 degrees outside (even colder with the windchill) and only 58 in our house. It took a long time to warm up.

Bundled up to take Cloey outside for her morning walk.

Back inside after the walk.

Cloey staring at the door while Becky cleared off the cars.

Never far from Becky’s side when she is home.

More homework.

Before school.

Final basketball game of the year.

It was a good few weeks.

Club volleyball

Ally is playing on a different club team this year in a different league. It is so nice. They practice every Saturday 930-11am and have 4 mini-tournaments from 10-12 on Saturday. At the tournament it’s not full official games, but 2 minute round Robin play. The goal is on all girls getting playing time and developing skills.

Selfie in the car with mommy.

Warm up. Ally is number 8 she always tries to be 8 or 16.

It was freezing in the field house.

This is the action shot series. Ally dove for the ball

Awesome dig. It went over the net and the other team sent it back at Ally.

Ally got right up and hit it back over and scored the point. She was really proud of this. I was too!

Even though it was was freezing and it’s lonely to go to these volleyball tournaments because I don’t know any other parents watching Ally have fun on a team is worth every minute. Smiling and laughing. I’m grateful for club teams that have leagues for all athletes to play, regardless of skill. Such a great experience.

Belated Christmas

Since Poppy Dave had COVID at Christmas he and Grandma Debbie came to visit for a weekend.

Becky rebuilt this vintage 1930’s radio for Dave.

We painted wood hearts for Valentine’s Day.

This is a quilt for cousin Emily. All 4 of us worked on it.

The adults took a cooking class online on how to makes crepes.

Dave did have fun, that’s his resting fun face.

Ally had lunch in her room.

Cloey is always happy with more Moyers around.
