April 16, 2022

It was the day before Easter and it was action packed.

First we dyed Easter Eggs.

Then we painted them.

Debbie made us each a felted bunny.

Our painted eggs came out great.

Then it was time for Ally’s volleyball tournament in Providence.

Ally’s team combined with another one at her club. Unfortunately Ally did not play at all. But she was such a good sport and cheered her team on all day.

Not a lot of photos.

After volleyball practice hanging on the couch snuggling with Daisy.

Another not jeans day!

Mornings in bed with her pets

Good Friday Ally had the day off school so we met up with the Guatemala Girls for some shopping.

Ally had a blast spending Christmas gift cards.

And I stopped at Chik Fillet on the way home.

April 4-11, 2022

More illness, more volleyball, school and work.
Life goes on.

Becky got a much needed haircut.

The pets really miss Ally when she is gone at school or volleyball all day.

First day in months Ally wore actual pants (these are jeans) and a sweater. She typically wears a sweatshirt and sweatpants or leggings.

But then her cold came back with a vengeance.
We are pretty worried it was COVID since she lost her sense of taste and smell for a while.  But after lots of testing which all came back negative it was determined it was a cold. Above was right when she finished breakfast and below is how I found her 45 minutes later.

She slept for 3 hours.

I went to Walgreens for some cold-aids. Like special dark blue Gatorade

And I brought her a Squishmallow stuffed animal that was the Bumble from Rudolph.
3 days of solid rest, no school and taking it easy and she was ready to go to her volleyball tournament.

Saying goodbye to Cloey before she went to the car

It was 2 hours away. Becky took her and stayed to watch. Unfortunately I came down with Ally’s cold and was pretty miserable.

I was in bed. Here is Cloey.

Some pictures of the tournament.

When they got home Becky immediately laid down on the couch for a nap.

Mondays are rough. Ally is so tired. She comes home absolutely exhausted. Last night I suggested she draw a little, and that maybe some art might help. This is what’s she did while watching TV.
She was asleep by 9pm and still pretty tired this morning.

Sick Weekend April 1-3

Ally was pretty sick for a couple of days. I think the last time she had a cold was February 2020 and she forgot what it’s like.

Friday morning lazing in bed with Cloey watching TV on her iPad. Ally’s fever was 101 and she said Cloey was making her hotter!

Daisy was curious and a bit jealous I think.

Lunch time snuggle with Daisy.

Saturday morning. Cloey waits patiently to go upstairs and get into bed with Ally.

All settled in for some morning relaxation. Ally felt a teeny bit better on Saturday and her fever was lower. We were supposed to have Beth over for dinner but we canceled that.

So Beth and Becky went for a hike and brought burritos home for lunch. Ally stayed upstairs.

We did a puzzle.

Did you see Daisy on the chair?

By Sunday Ally was feeling much better. She went to volleyball practice. Played PS5 with Becky and did all of her homework. Then some dinner, a shower and bed. A pretty typical Sunday.
