Part 2 of our Costa Rica vacation featured more gorgeous sunsets and lots of monkeys.
My friend Denise was nice enough to drive us 30 miles south to a monkey sanctuary. It took about 90 minutes to drive that far! Unpaved roads the entire way.

It was kind of a weird place but nice to see more of the country.
A cashew nut. I’ve never seen one in it’s shell.
There were these adorable animals called coatis. They are similar to raccoons. But cuter.

Raccoons.
We rode in the back of a truck on our way out of the sanctuary.
Then we w drove to Nosara, a surf town, had lunch and walked to the beach.
Back at the house Becky was in the pool again.
Ally ate her favorite dessert bars.
In the morning we got up and went tide pooling again.
More pool time for Becky.
We did a puzzle.
And saw monkeys! On our walk to breakfast the next day.
Ally got in the pool. It was just such a gorgeous setting.
Then Denise drove us to the nearest large town,
Tamarindo, and we did a little souvenir shopping. On the way back we saw 2 packs of howler monkeys. It was amazing.
Ally loved it.
Last sunset.
After dinner we went up to the roof deck to see the stars. My new iPhone took these cool shots of the stars.
Our final morning. Becky took her last swim in the pool.
Family photo.
Finally home and reunited with her cats.
