Loch Lyme the end of the week

The forecast for the our last full day was sunny and mid 80s. Another fantastic day at the lake.

Selfie with mommy.

Fishergirl!

The girls agreed to empty their bucket of caught fish after one jumped out!

Fisher-Moms. Our biggest catches all week.

Sunny family picture.

It was hot by 10am and Ally was in the lake.

I love this picture!

Taking a snack break with Cloey.

But then Ally got her second wind and went paddle boarding! She loved it.

At Ally's request we swam out to the dock with her.

And our friend Beth took a series of pictures of us jumping in to the lake together.

Kind of embarrassing but fun.

Becky was a bit late in the timing.

But there we are all under water.

Beautiful sunset that night.

Ally twisted her ankle on an evening walk and iced it for a bit.

But managed to sleep fine. With Cloey under the covers so you can't see her.

Our final morning and departure day was amazing.

Even Cloey was on the dock! Ally at the start of the most amazing catching streak.
She caught 18 fish! In about an hour.

As the sun came out she stripped down to her swimsuit but was having so much fun she kept casting out again and again. Hilariously Becky and I caught just a few we did not have Ally's luck.

There was a dead minnow near the dock, so Ally went in and snatched it up and then tossed it away in the weeds.

We kept taking pictures of #15-18 this was the best one.

Cloey was fascinated with the fish.

Once we ran out of worms Ally was ready to take out the paddle board again.

She was such a pro.

Becky and Cloey joined Ally on the lake in a kayak.

Cloey looked like she would jump kayak for the paddle board!

But they all came back.

It truly was an amazing relaxing vacation.

Loch Lyme Part 3 & 4

Wednesday dawned bright and sunny again.

Ally with her stack of silver dollar pancakes!

After breakfast it was fishing time! Ally caught the big one for the day.

I didn't do too bad either.

But we had a causality. One fish was hooked in its eye and died. Becky went out in the kayak to retrieve it and placed its body to rest in a swampy spot.

Ally finally earned her kindle and was thrilled to sit lakeside, eat her PBJ sandwich and read.

A canoe ride with Cloey!

Love.

At night Ally showed her real excitement about her kindle.

Thursday we were determined to get away from the lake for a bit. Ally was not thrilled about it but she was a good sport.

It was another great morning for fishing. Ally caught so many fish this week, it was incredible.

Our outing for the day!

Becky and I got yummy sandwiches but Ally had eaten her PBJ in the car so she just got a brownie. Which lasted for days!

Ally did a fun taste test of beverages. I had root beer, so first she sampled that.

She did not like it at all.

Next up was Becky's Pomegranate sparkling soda.

That was a hit. Soon we were off and back at the lake.

This was a common sight, Ally with Hannah and Amelia playing in the sand and on tubes in the lake.

Jumping off the raft in the lake! Ally is on the right.

The stars were AMAZING we saw the Milky Way! But Ally was so tired from so much lake time that she was ready for bed after about 10 minutes.

Curled up face to butt sleeping with her dog.

Loch Lyme Part 2

Tuesday was rainy and Ally didn't feel well but we still had fun.

At breakfast before she got a tummy ache. Ally's breakfast all week was silver dollar pancakes with strawberry sauce.

Coloring with Cloey on her lap.

While Ally was in the cabin with Becky I went out and did some shopping. I stopped and got a small size ice cream cone. The largest small I've ever seen!

Reading with Cloey.

Games with Mama

The awesome view from our cabin.
