This summer we decided to use our back porch for something other than our BBQ grill. Becky searched on Craigslist and drove 45 minutes to a Tar.get to get one piece on clearance. But we have comfy furniture for our porch!
Carl likes to come outside and hang out on the porch when we are out there. He seems to have discovered his natural hunter instinct and id very excited for the birds. We need to get a screen door installed! Nali’s latest favorite place to hang out is in Ally’s “Cozy Reading Spot”.
One night there was a beautiful rainbow right outside our front door – this is the view we had of it!
Ally is still too nervous to want to ride a bike solo. She has no interest in it with our her training wheels or without mama. She is a sport and will take her scooter almost everywhere that is farther than she wants to walk.
But we had been looking for a tandem attachment to Becky’s bike, and Olive’s parents let us borrow theirs. Olive rides a bike solo now so she doesn’t need it anymore. One Saturday morning Ally and Becky tried it out to ride to the library. They need more Magic Tree.house books – they are up to #31 now. Ally thought it was fun. “But still a little scary” I guess she asked Becky to slow down a couple of times!
We had friends over for dinner one night and their youngest daughter Lexie is 3 so we got out our Dupl.o L.egos and Ally built the house all by herself.
She was really proud of it.
Ally and I went to Gwei’s graduation party one evening. We were all dressed up in our maxi-length outfits and cardigans. It was very nice party and we were honored to celebrate Gwei’s junior high graduation. Mama had to go to a 1st grade parent dinner that night.
