First Day of 8th Grade

The last first day at Amigos. This is Ally’s 10th and final year at this school. Next year we plan for her to attend our public high school. 

Flashback 10 years.

Today.



And yes it’s remote learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a half day today; 30 minutes of Advisory then five 20 minute classes followed by 30 more minutes of Advisory. That is this week then next week it’s full day school but will remain remote indefinitely. 

And above is 21 of the 43 kids in her class. 2 more came but missed the photo. We held our first parent sponsored 8th grade class event today, and more are scheduled to keep happening. 

I asked Ally after school how it was on a scale of 1-10 and she said 5. Becky and I feel that is a pretty good number. 

Ally was so tired tonight she was in bed at 9:35 that is the earliest she’s been ready for sleep in months. I hope she falls asleep quickly and wakes up rested for another day.
