Spring Break in LA

Ally and I flew to LA for the first week of her Spring Break. The weather was not fabulous but our hotel was and we had a good time away from home. Becky stayed home to work and manage the construction on our bathrooms.

In the airport waiting to board our flight. No one was wearing their masks and we forgot too. We did put ours on after this.

We made it! That’s our hotel, the iconic Beverly Wilshire. It was a long 6 and a half hour flight.

We got upgraded to a suite. It had 3 full bathrooms!

And a makeup vanity. Ally loved it.

The view was not spectacular but the room more than made up for it.

We even got delicious cookies as a welcome gift. I booked the hotel through a travel agent and as part of the package we got the upgrade, welcome gift, breakfast for us both every day and dinner one night. It was lovely.

We watched Greys Anatomy and ordered room service for dinner our first night. We were so tired. I booked us the tour above for Tuesday afternoon.

Breakfast

She loves pancakes

We walked around Beverly Hills and Rodeo drove in the morning. The Louis Vuitton store was pretty neat.

Back at the hotel for a snack and rest before the tour.

Our tour guide drove us around the Hollywood Hills first. The view was spectacular. He pointed out the different buildings used it movies, like Independence Day and Die Hard.

Leo DiCaprio’s estate

It was pretty cool. I really enjoyed all the different architecture and celebrity-ness of it.
We ordered pizza for dinner delivered to our hotel.

Breakfast day 2

We went to see Hollywood. It was not that impressive.

But we took the obligatory photos on the walk of fame and the theater for the Oscar’s.

Morning view on day 3

We switched up our breakfast. Ally had a granola parfait and muffins and I had French toast.

Selfie in the lobby before we went to the Peterson Automobile museum.

So many classic cars.

And cars from movies. This was 007

Ally’s favorite was this lavender iridescent one.

Batmobiles

Scooby Doo’s van

KIT from Knight Rider!!! I was fan-girling and Ally had no idea

The Delorean from Back to the Future.

Another people picture.

Dinner in bed. Burger, fries and a milkshake. Happy teenager.

We went out for a few souvenirs after dinner.

Rodeo Drive at night.

Tired and happy to go home soon.

It was a great trip. We did some sightseeing and some relaxing everyday.

But home and reuniting with her cat is always best:
