Summer Lovin’ with Pets

Ally’s kitten Daisy is growing up. She is very quickly getting big. But she LOVES Ally. Sleeps with her, let’s her hold and cuddle her and of course she still cries for Ally when Ally is home and not with her.

Daisy is still a little scared of Becky.

If you look closely you can see Diasy is on the other side of the curtain in front of Cloey.

A girl with her cat and her dog.

We’ve learned Daisy is like our old cat Bryce in that she likes water. She hangs out in the tub after we shower.

Not much cuter than a pug in a snow leopard fur bean bag!

But the cat who guards your daughter while she sleeps is pretty close. Ally came home from camp so tired she laid down and fell asleep for 4 hours. Daisy stayed with her the whole time just close to her.

Cloey with Ally at breakfast.

And see, proof that Daisy sleeps with Ally. This is what we see in the morning when we go to wake up Ally.

And Ally loves it.

She can usually get a little cat snuggle in before camp in the morning.

And sometimes she makes Daisy “catch the woah”.

It can be crazy with a cat and a dog. But so very worth it for the extra joy and love.

CA Trip San Francisco Day 3: cable car and shopping

Our last day in California. We rode a cable car, went out to breakfast,  went shopping, relaxed at the hotel and packed up for the flight home the next day.

Pancakes for Ally at Dottie’s.

Then we went shopping. Beth got a dress for a wedding, Ally school clothes, and Becky got some makeup!

Sunscreen and powder. So hopefully she won’t get another sunburn this summer.

Silly faces in the Uber on the way back to the hotel.

Ally did well at the mall.

We played games in the lobby and hung out in the courtyard for a while.

Then Becky and Beth went out to eat and Ally and I stayed back at the hotel.

Cereal always makes her happy.

So does seeing her kitten after 9 days away:

Because when we got home after being gone that long they were so happy to see each other again.

CA Trip San Francisco: A visit to the Wave Organ

I’m doing trip research Beth read about the wave organ in San Francisco.  If you go at high tide the waves make music in the organ.

So we Ubered out to the marina and found the wave organ.

Pretty sunset walk out along the bay.

We found it alright.

But the sound it made wasn’t exactly musical. And it wasn’t helped by the man there who told us they should have named it “fart organ” not the wave organ.

Becky turned so red trying not to lose it.

Because the man’s description was very accurate.

But it was a memory made. And we got some great pictures.

CA Trip San Francisco Day 2 Alcatraz

Very behind on blogging but I’m going to try and catch up.

Day 2 in San Francisco Beth rented a car and drove to Muir Woods to see the Redwoods. The 3 of us went to Alcatraz.

We had a bit of a wait for our boat.

Aptly named Escape

View of the island from the boat

We took the audio tour. It started in the shower room.

The solitary cell was quite awful and creepy

The view of San Francisco from Alcatraz

On the walk back to the boat I took this picture of Ally.

We took a nice rest in our hotel and then went out for dinner at a fantastic Italian Place Beth had heard about.

I’m impersonating Ally here.
