Its no secret how much we love Ally's preschool. It really is a wonderful place. This term we get a weekly update and pictures from the week. I've put together a selection of photos that show things Ally does there and stuff available for her to do.
I remember rocking in one of these wooden boats. (faces white-ed out for privacy).
One day small groups went outside with clipboards and pencils to take note of different signs around the school.
They have been very into eggs lately. Not the Easter kind - but this day they colored eggs with markers and created a mobile. For snack they've had all different kinds of eggs; hard boiled, scrambled, egg white cookies (meringues) and even quail eggs.
There is usually a table with tape and scissors - its Ally's favorite.
A writing center here she is creating one of her masterpieces pictured in the Artwork post.
I really like how it does not matter what gets on the table.
There is a sensory table. The substance inside changes almost weekly. Above is red colored water and below is stuff that was like snow. Its been water, mud, Styrofoam, fabric scraps. All different kinds of things.
There is a light table as well. This too changes. One of Ally's favorites is to stamp or color on the white board.
I think its obvious how much Ally likes school! Recently they gave every student a blank cd and asked us to burn a cd with our child's favorite music. Then every day they dance and sing to a different cd.
Here is Ally swinging from the bar. I think this is one of her favorite things to do. This Spring she can reach the bar all by herself from the milk crate. She loves to tell us this "I can reach the bar all by myself...I am growing big and strong."
