Our annual tradition on Mother’s Day is to spend it with Grandma Barbie and Grandpa Frank. We play mini-golf and eat at J.umpin Jacks.
This year was the same.
Of course there was Uno playing.
The really big deal was the my brothers and I got mom an Ipad for Mother’s Day. She was really nervous about it. But she rallied and as you can see was thrilled with the gift. Ally had fun showing her how to play Free Fall on it.
Off to mini golf.
Becky got a HOLE IN ONE on the first hole. We new it was all over then.
Ally has her own style of swing.
Grandma Barbie looks all sweet and nice, but when she hits a good shot she does the fist pump and is super competitive. Ally however maintains her smile the whole game.
I did a pretty good job putting this year. But not enough to beat Becky. She beat us all, then Dad, then me with Ally and Grandma coming in at the bottom.
Group shot and hugs for t he winner.
Sharing a milkshake at dinner. After eating, Ally and I went down to the river bank.
Back at home mom gave the Ipad another try and then watched Fr.ozen with Ally.
After dinner it was time for books. Ally read a N.ational G.eographic book to each of her grandparents. Patience is a serious virtue sometimes.
In the morning we opened gifts and cards.
Then Ally read some more to Grandpa while we packed up the car. When we got home to our house, Aunt Beth was there! She and Ally played for a bit before Beth headed back to her island.
All in all a great Mother’s Day.
