Ally spent lots of time in her room, cuddling her kitten Daisy, watching TV on her Ipad or playing on her phone. Sometimes she would venture downstairs to eat on the couch in the living room. Cloey was so happy to be able to sit with her. But sometimes you just don't want your picture taken and you block your mommy. Its OK. This mommy still posts the picture.
Saturday Lauren and her family came to visit. Yes family. Lauren is Ally's old babysitter who moved to Hawaii. She has her own baby now, Arrow is only 4 months old. He was such a good boy. We were all a bit overwhelmed by how life works - Ally is old enough now to babysit for Lauren's baby! Not that she did or is available. But the whole idea.
And of course Pilot the dog traveled with Lauren, her boyfriend and their son all the way from Hawaii. It was really wonderful to see Lauren and finally meet her boyfriend Shestin and their son.
After they left we headed out to Grandpa Frank's house.
Ally made sugar cookies for Grandpa. Babe laid in her corner.
We played some games, and Dad finally ate the nuts that Aunt Martha and Uncle Phil sent him.
I was glad to get a picture of Ally and me with my dad.
We left on New Year's Eve
Yes Ally spelled Eve wrong - and posted it to Instagram!!!! I caught it and she took down the post rather than edit it.
All dressed up to go to have dinner at Stella's house with our Newtowne family friends.
I came home early because I was feeling so crummy. Ally and Becky were home soon after me - and Cloey was waiting anxiously for them to come home.
Becky and Ally played a really odd game on the TV upstairs.
we took a family selfie with Daisy the kitten
and the kitten is all Ally kissed at midnight
Ally - smiling big just after the ball dropped in Times Square at midnight.
Here's hoping 2019 is a great year - it will be the year Ally leaves her tweens and becomes an official teenager!
