February 19-23 Las Vegas

We flew out to Las Vegas for Frank and Trish’s wedding. Ally had to miss a couple days of school but it is Becky’s winter break. We had a really good time.

Very early sunrise flight.







But it was sunny and warm in Vegas

First stop was Chik Fil-e for lunch.

We checked in at our hotel, The Cosmopolitan. We had a lovely view of the mountains and the strip towards Mandalay Bay. 







Room service for dinner the first night. 

Sunday morning we headed out to Hoover Dam.

It was so cool to finally see it.

Then we drove through Lake Mead national Recreational Area to get to Valley of Fire state park.

Valley of Fire was really beautiful. Here we are in Pink Canyon.

We were pretty tired but Ally was a good sport about pictures. It was a gorgeous park and a really fun day.

I even had fun with pictures.

We headed back to the hotel and had dinner in our room. 

The next day Ally and I went shopping to a nearby off-strip outlet mall. Becky walked to check out some of the famous casinos; Bellagio, Ceasars Palace, Paris & the Venetian. 

Later in the day the 3 of us headed over to the Bellagio. We had outdoor dinner reservations overlooking the famous fountain. But it was cold and so windy that the fountain show was not running. We canceled our reservation and ordered room service again!

The next day, our last in Vegas was Frank’s wedding.
