Of course that also meant roasting the seeds.
Halloween was a Monday this year and of course Ally had practice volleyball now and not gymnastics but no trick or treating, just pizza and TV with Mommy and Daisy while Becky and Cloey the clown gave out candy.
It’s hard to take a selfie of the 3 of us and our pumpkin.
Scooping out the guts
And separating the seeds
Ally was very meticulous about drying the seeds off.
Becky carved first
Then Ally.
We finished and then had to run off to some club volleyball tryouts. Ally was not selected for a team with this club. It was a bummer but not a surprise since she missed 2 of the 3 tryout days with her sprained ankle. She will try out for another club this weekend.
Halloween morning.
We came home from practice to this site. Becky and Cloey look so cute.
I asked a neighbor to take a picture of all of us. There were so many trick or treaters. Solid for about 2 hours. Cloey was the star. Becky said lots of people took pictures of Cloey and many kids pet her and one toddler even hugged Cloey. And Cloey was so good. Quiet and calm. The public Cloey is so well behaved compared to the private one we live with who is currently barking at sounds outside she cannot see.
And as a flashback to Ally’s first Halloween in 2007 when she was 11 months old:
Ally with Daisy. We watched SVU and giggled at all the commotion with the trick or treaters outside. It was a lovely way to spend Halloween with this teenager.
