It’s the last day Ally is 6. Some how each year seems so monumental now. But wow 7 years old.
Grandma Debbie, Poppy and Aunt Beth all arrived to help with party prep and celebrate with friends tomorrow.
Ally’s class went on a field trip to the firehouse during school, and then afterschool I brought her and Erik to swim lessons. These two are always wearing stripes! They were so cute in their matching shirts and fire fighter hats!
After swimming it was home – we made party popcorn first. Grandma Debbie and Ally had fun drizzling the white chocolate on popcorn.
Then it was time to sprinkle the sprinkles on the chocolate coated popcorn! Ally shook the shaker so much sprinkles were going everywhere!
So much fun! Then Friday night movie night started – as usual a B.arbie movie was on the schedule. Grandma and Aunt Beth watched with Ally while Becky, DAviD and I worked on the cake.
A few weeks ago Ally drew us a picture of how she envisioned the cake looking. First I made a vat of white buttercream frosting and frosted the 3 layer yellow cake.
Then Becky got to work on it. We had rainbow twizzlers, mini marshmallows and cut up slivers of a blue gummy worm for the raindrops.
Ally was delighted!
After dinner it was time to blow up over 100 balloons! The rainbow arch had 10 each of red, orange, yellow, green, blue & violet balloons. Poppy blew up almost all of the 48 “snowball” balloons for the snowball game we’re playing.
The finished product came out AWESOME! Soon after it was time for bed and Ally had a blast sitting with her grandparents and have them read books to her.
