It was a beautiful Saturday, and so Ally and I headed out to the zoo.
Ally posed at the big gorilla statue. Then she spotted the playground! She ran ahead (and stopped to wait for me to catch up).
It was so warm – 60 degrees and sunny. Ally had a blast climbing, sliding, exploring.
Turns out she is too tall for these monkey bars!
Swinging is always fun.
Then we moved on to the zebras.
Its actually the zebra and giraffe habitat, but its too cold for giraffes, but Ally climbed up to the top of the lookout.
We saw lots of eggs in the hen house, the lion asleep as usual.
Then we entered the rainforest habitat and saw the tapirs. I always think they are pretty funny looking.
And of course the gorillas. The mommy gorilla was right in the corner next to Ally, and the baby was keeping us amused with his antics. He even climbed the wall right in front of Ally, and then would fall down – run away to something else and come back and do it again. Ally was enthralled. We stayed and observed them for about 20 minutes.
Always so much fun at the zoo.
