Last week of Summer

It was an interesting last week of summer vacation. Ally and us were pretty much on West Coast time so it has been tough to get back to an early bedtime and early wake up. Further complicating things is that Ally is battling a cold and we actually took her in for a strep test because her throat hurt so bad. No strep! Just take it easy and try and rest.

I'm at a stressful time at work and Becky and Ally have been really good about understanding I have to do some work at night and on the weekend right now. Ally seems to have really understood that my company was really flexible and understanding this last year with me needing time off for her health issues and this summer our family needs to return that understanding.

Now some fun pictures:

A back to school gift from Aunt Beth.

I said it was a rough sleep week! I left for work one morning and both of my family members had animals sleeping on her pillow!

Ally got her hair trimmed! That is our stylist Feri. The whole salon oohed and Ahhed over her gorgeous hair.

Ally and Becky did a lot with Cloey this week. One day they took Cloey on a play date to Monty the chocolate lab's house.

Feeling crummy physically but happily reading with Cloey on her lap and Nali nearby.

Ally memorized her multiplication times tables this week. We are so proud of her!

Over the weekend we cared for Sophocles' hamsters again! Now there are 6 babies plus the mom and dad. So yes that is 8 hamsters. Plus Ally's hamster Penguin makes 9 hamsters in our house. Add those to our 2 cats a dog and fish and we have 13 pets in our house this weekend!

Ally also had a few play dates with school friends this week.

Her last 2 practices at her old gymnastics place. That will be its own post next.

Our last hurrah was a manicure for Ally:

Pretty nails for our pretty girl. She is pretty strong, pretty kind, pretty beautiful and more than pretty special to us.
4th grade here she comes!
