Ally beam 9.225
Floor 9.325
Vault. 8.275
Bars. 9.0
35.825 all around
The meet gift to each gymnast was a photo CD of beam and vault. These are our favorites:
The whole team lines up from tallest to shortest. All the other parents think Ally is so tall. Then we explain she is the shortest in her 5th grade class and that the girl next to her is more than 2 years younger and perspective hits them! But all has long limbs and fingers and toes and so elegant she looks tall.
Beam was the first event. Ally was so nervous, and so we were for her.
This routine has a cartwheel on the beam. She nailed hers! No falls just great!
This is a scale. So pretty.
We thought her handstand was amazing, Ally points out her back was arched and her legs separated. Always her own worst critic.
Look at how high she gets on this leap!!!
The elegant fingers
Dismount and Salute the judges!
After beam was floor:
We think she looks like she is casting a spell in the picture above.
So dramatic and fierce and in the zone razor focused.
After floor was vault and then bars
Such a happy girl with 2nd place all around.
Very late night we got home at 1030pm then after shower and some wind down time it was 1145 before Ally was asleep.
