Ally and Becky flew to Philadelphia today to spend a long weekend with Becky's parents, Grandma Debbie and Poppy. Ally was SUPER excited. She had to wake up early and still she looks so cheery. Here she is at the airport with her wheely backpack stuffed full of her "special things" and her lunchbox of snacks clipped on the front.
No amount of convincing could get her to leave anything at home with me. For the record this is what is in her backpack:
- Softie
- Taggie
- Kitty
- Bunny
- Turtle
- Booey Bear
- Old Pooh (exact same Winnie the Pooh as School Pooh, but the Pooh she has had since she was 3 months old and we visited her in Guatemala. She re-discovered Pooh earlier this summer and now she must have both Poohs)
- School Pooh (a pristine Winnie the Pooh we bought when she was a baby in case we ever lost Old Pooh. She tried to take School Pooh as her lovey at naptime for school last year but she missed him too much at home, and our rule is school lovey stays at school all week long because I refuse to bring something back and forth everyday, so after a week of tears at night we brought School Pooh home and she picked another stuffed animal as her lovey at school)
- Dolly
- Baby
- Spare clothes for Dolly and Baby
- Dolly's hair brush
- Ernie - one of his cloths and his pillow (yes Aunt Suzie she still has the pillow and talks about how you won it for her and she told me yesterday that Ernie needs it to sleep so she could not possible leave it behind)
- Her Leapster (electronic game)
- 4 books
- Water Bottle
- Gum
Its a good thing that the backpack has wheels - I think it weighs more than Ally does!
My family
walking to the terminal
I miss them already, but I know they are going to have a great time.
I am looking forward to doing some shopping, getting caught up on blogging and photo books and hopefully tackling some home organization projects.
