Did you know that Jannuary 7 is Baby's birthday? Well it is, and this year she turned 4 years old. Ally spent most of her free time between Christmas and Jan 7 planning Baby's party. It was quite a lot of planning, Ally did most of the work herself. She said it was "hard work". Baby's party was butterfly themed.
We made cupcakes the night before the party, because that is what you do the night before, make the cupcakes!
Like the grown up girl she is, Ally frosted a lot of the cupcakes.
And decorated them. The one below was baby's special cupcake!
The gifts were all in a pile. Ally made some, and one special gift was bought, but personalized by Ally. It required a trip to Target one day suring vacation, to shop for Baby's gift!
The day of the party Baby was so excited for her friends to come.
Ally let her sit in front of the window to wait for her friends.
While Ally and I put together the goody bags. (because after all you can't have a birthday party without goody bags! Thank goodness again for Target and the dollar section)
Assembling the bags.
After we loaded them up and closed them with twist tie, Ally then drew a special shape and attached one to each bag - she said that made them "extra special" and the friends would like that.
Ee-essa
O-essa
and a few other "essa" friends.
Ally read a book and lead some activities, we all learned how to use the triangle, and the magnifying glass and took a turn using the Aquadoodle shown above.
It was extremely rigid in that Ally dictated the order, and all of the activities. Each guest and her mom had a turn with everything.
Then we went outside to the park - that and the rest of the party will be in the next post.
